Range & Status

Found in the ovaries of various members of the Poaceae (grass family). Once a common and widespread pathogen of grasses, especially cereal crops but, with the advent of various fungicides and resistant host varieties, is now rarely recorded. Only two very old records for Cornwall, both in the latter half of the nineteenth century in VC1.
